Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about in-ground trampoline installation.

How much does an in-ground trampoline installation cost?

Installed prices typically range from £2,500 to £6,500 depending on trampoline size, ground conditions, and site and drainage requirements. We provide a free site survey and itemised quote before any work begins, so you know exactly what is involved.

Is the trampoline included in the installation cost?

No. The trampoline is purchased separately from the installation. We recommend and fit Capital Play in-ground trampolines, which are commercial-grade products used in schools, parks and public spaces across the UK. We can help you select the right model for your garden and budget, and will include the trampoline cost alongside the installation in your overall quote so you have one clear figure.

How deep does the hole need to be?

Typically between 80cm and 1 metre, depending on the trampoline size and the ground conditions. We assess each garden individually at the survey stage to determine the correct depth for optimal bounce and drainage.

What happens with drainage? Will water collect underneath?

Drainage is a core part of every installation we carry out. We assess the soil type and garden conditions and put appropriate drainage measures in place to prevent water pooling beneath the trampoline. A properly drained installation performs well year-round, including through the wet Kent and Sussex winters.

How long does installation take?

Most standard installations are completed in one to two days, depending on the size of the trampoline and ground conditions. We will give you a more specific timeframe when we discuss your project at the survey stage.

What sizes are available?

Capital Play in-ground trampolines are available in a range of sizes, from compact circular models to large rectangular ones. We will discuss the right size for your garden and your children at the survey visit.

Do I need planning permission?

In most cases, planning permission is not required for an in-ground trampoline in a private residential garden. Rules can vary depending on your property type and location, so we recommend checking with your local planning authority if you are in any doubt. We can advise on this at the survey stage.

Can I add a safety net enclosure?

Yes. Safety enclosure nets are available for in-ground trampolines and are a good option for younger children. Let us know when you enquire and we will include the relevant options in your quote.

Why Capital Play?

Capital Play is a commercial-grade play equipment manufacturer whose products are used by schools, councils, and public parks across the UK. We chose to install Capital Play because the build quality is genuinely different from consumer-market trampolines. We are authorised installers, which means you get the full manufacturer warranty and the knowledge that the product has been installed to the correct specification.
